Christy Sutherland, senior associate vocal coach for Renee Grant-Williams Voice Studio, has announced the dates for two “Summer Voice Clinics.” These fun, information-packed workshops for young singers and songwriters will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 for kids (8-12) and Saturday, June 17, 2017 for teens (13-18), at her studio in Ashland City, Tennessee.
The Summer Voice Clinics are tailored to address the individual needs of each attendee. It’s almost like a day-long voice lesson. Each singer will have time in the spotlight as well as an opportunity to learn by watching Christy work with the other singers.
Christy feels, “Some younger singers feel more comfortable learning when they are part of a group with similar interests. Young people learn a lot simply by watching others—learning from their mistakes as well as their successes. Voice clinics are a great experience for young singers.”
Both clinics begin at 10:00 A.M. and continue until 3:00P.M., with a short break for lunch. The atmosphere is very supportive and a lot of fun. Each attendee will perform songs of their own choice and receive personal instruction from Christy, learning new techniques that will grow with them and last for a lifetime.
Christy has been a long-time associate teacher of Renee Grant-Williams Voice Studio, whose client list includes: Miley Cyrus, Martina McBride, Jason Aldean, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Christina Aguilera and countless others.
Christy is an accomplished singer/songwriter/actress and four-time winner of the SGN Scoops Diamond Award for Female Christian Country Vocalist of the Year. She is also a BMI Award Winning Songwriter, has been nominated for an Emmy, is a five-time AMG Heritage Award Winner and took home the Christian Music Hall of Fame Visionary Award for Southern Gospel Female Vocalist of the Year. She starred in the film, “Welcome To Inspiration” and appeared in the film “A Belle For Christmas” alongside Dean Cain and Haylie Duff.
